TERMS & CONDITIONS
Sale of Goods
These terms and the order constitute the whole agreement between you and us for the sale of the goods. Any amendments thereto must be confirmed in writing. Please ensure that you are happy with these terms before you submit the order, because you will be bound by the terms once a contract comes into existence between us.
Any photographs, samples, drawings, descriptions or advertising we issue, and any colours, images or illustrations, are offered solely to provide you with an approximate idea of the goods they describe. They do not form part of the contract between you and us for the sale of the goods.
If any of these terms are inconsistent with any term of or instruction in the order, the terms in the order shall prevail.
The order is an offer by you to enter into a binding contract which we may accept or decline at our absolute discretion.
These terms shall become binding on you and us when we issue you with an order confirmation, at which point a contract shall come into existence between us.
Most items purchased from Pastorale Antiques as seen on this site are antique and consequently age related marks and signs of wear and tear can be seen, due to the age of the item. Items are purchased as seen on the photographs and as described.
Prior to purchase if you have any questions or queries about the item(s) then please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. You should quote the item code on all correspondence to avoid any misunderstandings.
Whilst we make every endeavor to point out if there is any serious damage, defect, cracks, restoration, worm damage, etc. We cannot cover every eventuality so if you have any questions please contact us via e-mail before purchase.
Any other service will have to be quoted for prior to purchase. Please e-mail us if any other postal or carriage service is required. We offer national and international delivery services via courier companies.
Due to the nature of our products and the varying weights/sizes we are unable to include delivery costs within our product descriptions. All deliveries therefore need to be arranged via email/telephone so we can quote what the cost will be.
This means that all delivery costs are extra and would be charged as so. Deliveries within Lewes and Brighton are usually free.

Any other item can always be collected from the centre by prior arrangement. No item can be posted to the purchaser or collected from the centre without the full payment being received by Pastorale Antiques.
Items are not sent with any insurance cover other than that provided by the Royal Mail or any other courier service under the terms of their standard insurnace service. The purchaser must arrange their own insurance above and beyond this.
If a purchased item does not substantially conform to the description or any e-mail answers, and the item is returned to the warehouse within 14 days of purchase, then Pastorale Antiques will gladly issue a refund of the purchase price, which will exclude any postal or carriage costs.
Antique or second hand electrical goods are not sold in working order unless clearly stated. They usually need checking and re-wiring according to current safety standards.
If you cancel your purchase before delivery a full item cost refund will be issued excluding a 15% administration fee.
Items on this site may also be available for sale at Pastorale Antiques. This could result in an item being sold by the centre prior to the listing being removed from this website. In this event the site reserves the right to cancel the sale and will issue a full refund of any money paid. An e-mail of explanation will be sent with the electronic refund.
Items including VAT will be marked as such.
Where vat is applicable on antique items, a Margin Scheme is used to calculate a reduced amount.
This VAT cannot be reclaimed by the buyer.
Some reproduction and new goods have 20% VAT included. This will be shown on the invoice, and may be reclaimed in the normal way.
Any extras, such as packing, carriage and insurance ,will be charged separately.
Periodically our prices may be reviewed, and subject to change.
Cancellation & Returns Policy
If you wish to cancel your order: (a) you can notify us by email to firstname.lastname@example.org before we have dispatched the goods to you; or (b) where goods have already been dispatched to you, by returning goods to us. You can return goods you have ordered from us for any reason at any time within 14 days of receipt for a full refund or exchange. The costs of returning goods to us shall be borne by you. Upon receipt of the goods we will give you a full refund of the amount paid or an exchange credit as required. The rights to return the goods to us will not apply in the following circumstances: - in the event that the product has been used or damaged or for any other reason we see fit.
Liability and Indemnity
Except as set out above and in relation to our contractual obligations to supply goods and/or services following acceptance of orders placed on our website, neither we nor any of our agents, affiliates, directors, employees or other representatives will be liable in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise for any loss or damage whatsoever in any way connected with your use of the website. We shall not be liable for any indirect, or consequential loss of whatever nature, including damage to software or hardware, loss of data, damage for loss of business, loss of profits, or any other indirect or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with your use of the website (including without limitation, any such loss arising out of or in connection with any order placed on the website, whether or not accepted by us). You agree to indemnify us and our agents and officers, directors and employees, immediately on demand, against all claims, liability, damages, costs and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of any breach of these Terms and Conditions by you.
